Make Sure Your Swingset Grows with Your Family
When you invest in a backyard swingset for your family be sure you’re getting a variety of swing styles and sizes so the set will work now and for years to come. It’s easy to pick out what seem like the perfect swing today, but as your children grow older, they may lose interest in some styles of swings – or simply become too large for them – and you’ll find yourself with a swingset that isn’t being used.
If you have two or more children in your family, you’ll want to have at least three different styles of swings. This gives children plenty of options when they play together – and kids love variety and enjoy having different styles to choose from.
Swings for Every Age
You will also want to have swing styles for different age groups so, as your children get older and outgrow one type of swing, there is another style waiting for them.
- Baby/Toddler swings offer the most support and have back supports, fully molded seats, and seat straps to hold children firmly in place. Many of these also feature a harness system and tray. These are suitable for babies and toddlers up to three years old and are perfect for pushing youngsters in when you’re outside with them.
- Belt or molded swing seats are suited for children that are ready to swing on their own. They can sit on comfortably and push themselves to new heights. The height of these swings can be adjusted easily by moving the seat up and down on the attached chains to fit the height of the children.
For older children looking for something a bit more daring, you can add other features to your swingset like a trapeze swing or rope climbing area. By combining features that appeal to all ages, your backyard swingset will please your children for years to come.
